Newborn photography is a lot of things. Timing, environment, patience, confidence, these all go into having a successful newborn session.

Timing – knowing when that baby is going to smile.

Environment – making that baby oh so comfy. Don’t forget about momma too! A relaxed mom means a relaxed baby.

Patience – Sometimes it can take well over an hour for one shot from one pose. Newborn photography can be a work out.

Confidence – You have to know that eventually, that baby is going to go to sleep. Forget about the session for a minute and connect with that baby.

Newborn photography is a lot of things. The number one thing though, is getting the shot for the parents.

Meet Cassius. This little man was amazing! I had the pleasure of photographing his big sis and mom this past fall. His big sister is quite possibly one of the most beautiful children I have ever seen. She is just stunning. Cassius is following in her footsteps. This family of four was just so much fun to photograph. Laid back parents = laid back baby and Cassius was just that.

I think, I am not sure though, that he is the most smiley baby I have ever had. This little dude smiled in almost every set up. I think he thought my jokes were funny. Maybe I am just funny looking! lol. Either way he has the sweetest little smile and I am so glad I captured those shots for the family. Enjoy Mr. Cassius’ photos!
